    Expected VITEEE 2026 Cut-off Trends

VIT does not officially release branch-wise cut-offs, but expected admission trends indicate high competition for Computer Science Engineering (CSE) seats, especially at the Vellore campus.

Expected rank ranges for popular campuses and branches are:

    • VIT Vellore CSE (Category 1): Rank below 1,500
    • VIT Chennai CSE: Around 8,000–14,000 rank range
    • VIT-AP CSE: Around 14,000–14,500 for Category 1
    • VIT Bhopal CSE: Around 30,000–45,000 for Category 1

Higher fee categories may offer admission at comparatively lower ranks.

    Marks vs Rank Analysis

Experts suggest that candidates scoring above 400 marks out of 500 may secure ranks within the top 1,000. Students scoring between 300 and 350 marks are expected to obtain ranks between 1,000 and 5,000 approximately.

Candidates with ranks up to 1 lakh are expected to be eligible for the counselling process across different VIT campuses and fee categories.

    VITEEE 2026 Counselling

Following the declaration of results, VIT is expected to begin online counselling soon. During the counselling process, candidates will be able to choose campuses, branches, and fee categories depending on seat availability and rank obtained.

The VITEEE 2026 exam was conducted in computer-based mode with 125 multiple-choice questions from Mathematics/Biology, Physics, Chemistry, Aptitude, and English. The examination followed a negative marking pattern this year.
