In a significant recognition of professional excellence beyond academics, A. S. Gangwar, Principal of Delhi Public School Bokaro, has been officially acknowledged as a Certified Mediator by the Supreme Court of India under its Mediation and Conciliation Project Committee (MCPC).

Dr. Gangwar’s empanelment on the prestigious Panel of Mediators comes after the successful completion of 40 hours of specialised mediation training in hybrid mode, followed by an intensive two-day practical training conducted offline at the Supreme Court of India. The practical sessions witnessed participation and guidance from eminent legal luminaries, including High Court Judges, sitting judges, retired IPS officers, senior advocates, and experienced mediation professionals.

The training programme was organised by the MCPC, an initiative of the Supreme Court aimed at promoting court-annexed mediation, reducing pendency of cases, encouraging amicable dispute resolution, and creating a strong, trained pool of mediators across the country. The rigorous programme was conducted over an extended period from December 18, 2025, to February 21, 2026, ensuring in-depth theoretical understanding as well as hands-on practical exposure.

The mediation training was delivered by accredited MCPC trainers, notably Ms. Ila Rawat and Mr. Rajeev Thukral, who are widely respected for their expertise in alternative dispute resolution mechanisms. Their mentorship played a crucial role in equipping participants with the skills required for effective mediation within the judicial framework.

With this certification, Dr. Gangwar is now eligible, as per established procedures, to be considered for mediation matters referred by mediation centres functioning under the Supreme Court, High Courts, and District Courts across India. The recognition positions him among a select group of trained professionals entrusted with facilitating dialogue-driven, peaceful resolution of disputes within the legal system.

Reacting to the honour, Dr. Gangwar stated that he views the certification not merely as a professional milestone but as a profound responsibility to serve the nation through the esteemed platform of the MCPC.
