SBPS Ranchi Dominates 1st Open Shooting Championship 2025 with 78 Medals

    Sarala Birla Public School (SBPS), Ranchi delivered a spectacular performance at the 1st Open Shooting Championship 2025, held at the RK Anand Shooting Training Centre, Ranchi, emerging as the most successful school of the tournament.

    The championship witnessed enthusiastic participation from 16 schools and nearly 350 students, who competed in Pistol and Rifle events across multiple age categories — Under-12, Under-14, Under-17, and Under-19. The wide range of categories ensured intense competition and provided a strong platform for young shooting talents from across the region to demonstrate their skills.

    SBPS Ranchi showcased exceptional dominance by securing a remarkable 78 medals, including 54 Gold, 14 Silver, and 10 Bronze medals. This outstanding medal haul underlined the school’s strong sporting ecosystem, structured training programmes, and the unwavering commitment of its student shooters and coaching staff.

    Congratulating the achievers, Principal Ms Manisha Sharma expressed immense pride in the students’ accomplishments. She stated that participation and success in sports such as shooting help inculcate discipline, concentration, resilience, and sportsmanship, which are essential for the holistic development of students. She further applauded the coaches and mentors for their dedicated efforts in grooming young athletes and congratulated the team for bringing laurels to the institution.
