RMO 2025 Results Declared: Region-wise Cut-Offs Released, Qualified Students Eligible for INMO 2026

The results of the Regional Mathematical Olympiad (RMO) 2025 have been officially announced. Along with the results, the region-wise cut-off marks for different categories have also been released. Candidates who have qualified through RMO 2025 will now be eligible to appear for the Indian National Mathematical Olympiad (INMO) 2026, scheduled to be held on January 18, 2026.
Important Highlights of RMO 2025 Results
The region-wise lists of qualified candidates have been published.
These lists are not arranged in merit order.
Students whose roll numbers appear in the regional lists are eligible for INMO 2026, subject to successful registration.
INMO 2026 Registration Details
Qualified candidates must register separately for INMO 2026.
Registration opens: January 5, 2026
Registration closes: January 12, 2026 (till 5:30 PM)
Candidates who fail to complete registration by the closing date will be disqualified from appearing in INMO 2026, even if they have qualified through RMO 2025.
Tie-Breaking Criteria
As per the official notification:
Ties at the 30th position in Category A,
6th position in Category B, and
5th position in the Girls’ quota
have been resolved using IOQM 2025 scores, in accordance with the prescribed selection criteria.
INMO 2025 Awardees
Students who are INMO 2025 awardees and still eligible for INMO 2026 are also required to register. The list of such candidates will be displayed on the HBCSE Mathematical Olympiad webpage before December 23, 2025. Non-registration by January 12, 2026 will lead to disqualification.
INMOTC Information
Qualified students may contact their respective Regional Coordinators for details regarding the Indian National Mathematical Olympiad Training Camp (INMOTC). If an INMOTC is already planned in the region, coordinators will inform the eligible candidates directly.
RMO 2025 Certificates
Students who qualified RMO 2025 will be able to download their certificates from March 31, 2026 onwards. The certificate download link will be made available on the HBCSE Olympiads website.
