The National Testing Agency (NTA) has reopened the online application window for the Common University Entrance Test Undergraduate (CUET UG) 2026, providing a final opportunity for eligible candidates to complete their registration process.

As per the official notification, the reopened application window is available from February 23, 2026, and candidates can submit their forms till February 26, 2026 (11:50 PM). This reopening has been done after NTA received multiple requests from students who were unable to complete the application or fee payment during the earlier deadline due to technical or personal reasons.

Last Chance to Apply

NTA has clearly stated that this is a one-time reopening and no further extension of the CUET UG 2026 application deadline will be provided. Candidates who fail to apply within this period will not be allowed to appear for the examination.

No Correction Facility After Submission

An important point to note is that no correction window will be provided after the closure of this application phase. Applicants are advised to carefully verify all details such as:

• Personal information

• Subject and course selection

• Examination centre preferences

• Uploaded documents

• Fee payment status

before final submission.

CUET UG 2026 Exam Schedule

The CUET UG 2026 examination is scheduled to be conducted from May 11 to May 31, 2026, in Computer-Based Test (CBT) mode. The exam will be held in multiple shifts across test centres in India and select international locations.

The test will be conducted in 13 languages, including English, Hindi, Tamil, Telugu, Kannada, Malayalam, Marathi, Gujarati, Odia, Bengali, Assamese, Punjabi, and Urdu.

Subjects and Paper Pattern

Candidates can choose up to five subjects as per the eligibility criteria of their desired universities and programmes. The question paper will follow the standard CUET pattern with objective-type multiple-choice questions.

Application Fee Structure

The application fee for CUET UG 2026 varies based on category and number of subjects chosen:

• General category: ₹1000 for up to three subjects

• OBC-NCL / EWS: ₹900

• SC / ST / PwD / Third Gender: ₹800

• Candidates applying from outside India: ₹4500

An additional fee is applicable for each extra subject beyond the initial selection.

Key Advisory for Aspirants

NTA has urged candidates not to wait until the last moment to submit their applications to avoid technical issues. Only successfully submitted applications with confirmed fee payment will be accepted.
