NLU Delhi Announces AILET 2026 Results for 25,319 BA LLB and LLM Aspirants

New Delhi:
National Law University (NLU), Delhi has officially declared the AILET 2026 results for admissions to its prestigious BA LLB (Hons.) and LLM programmes. A total of 25,319 candidates who appeared for the All India Law Entrance Test (AILET) 2026 can now access their scorecards and merit status through the university’s official admission portal.
The AILET 2026 examination was conducted in offline (pen-and-paper) mode across multiple cities in India. Known for its high difficulty level and intense competition, AILET remains one of the most sought-after law entrance examinations in the country, exclusively conducted for admissions to NLU Delhi, one of India’s top-ranked law universities.
Programme-wise Candidate Statistics
Out of the total 25,319 candidates:
BA LLB (Hons.) saw the highest participation, with over 18,000 aspirants competing for just 123 seats (including supernumerary seats).
Around 7,000 candidates appeared for the LLM programme, vying for approximately 81 seats.
This year once again witnessed an exceptionally low selection ratio, highlighting the competitiveness of admissions at NLU Delhi.
Result Access and Scorecard Details
Candidates can log in using their AILET registration number and password to download their result-cum-scorecard. The scorecard includes:

Category-wise rank
Only candidates securing the minimum qualifying marks as prescribed by NLU Delhi have been included in the merit list.
Cut-off and Merit List
NLU Delhi has released category-wise cut-offs along with the results. The cut-offs for the General category remain significantly high, reflecting the challenging nature of the paper and the limited number of seats. Reserved category cut-offs have been released in accordance with government norms.
The final merit list has been prepared based solely on AILET 2026 scores, as NLU Delhi does not participate in CLAT counselling.
Counselling and Admission Process
Shortlisted candidates will be called for online counselling and seat allotment. The counselling process will include:
Online registration
Document verification
Seat allotment rounds
Fee payment
Candidates must keep all original documents ready, including mark sheets, category certificates (if applicable), and identity proof. Failure to complete any step within the stipulated timeline may lead to cancellation of candidature.
What’s Next for Candidates
Qualified candidates should regularly check the official NLU Delhi website for counselling schedules and instructions.
Those who did not qualify can explore admissions through CLAT-participating NLUs or private law universities.
