MHT CET 2026: Candidates Can Register Without Aadhaar; APAAR ID Authentication Begins from February 13

    MHT

The MHT CET 2026 registration process has witnessed an important update. The State Common Entrance Test Cell Maharashtra has clarified that Aadhaar is not mandatory for filling out the MHT CET 2026 application form. Candidates can complete the registration process without Aadhaar details, while APAAR ID–based authentication will be enabled from February 13, 2026.

Key Update on Aadhaar and APAAR ID

Due to technical issues related to Aadhaar-based verification, the CET Cell has temporarily relaxed the Aadhaar requirement. Applicants who do not possess an Aadhaar card or are facing authentication problems can still proceed with the registration process using alternative identification details.

From February 13 onwards, candidates who have an APAAR ID (Automated Permanent Academic Account Registry) will be able to authenticate their details through the APAAR system for smoother verification.

Courses Covered Under MHT CET 2026

MHT CET 2026 is conducted for admission to various professional courses offered by colleges across Maharashtra, including:

    • Engineering (PCM group)

    • Pharmacy (PCB group)

    • Agriculture and Allied Courses

    • MCA

    • MHMCT (Hotel Management and Catering Technology)

    What Candidates Should Do

    • Proceed with registration even if Aadhaar details are unavailable

    • Keep academic and personal documents ready for verification

    • Opt for APAAR ID authentication once it becomes active from February 13

    • Regularly check official notifications for updates on exam dates, admit cards, and correction windows

    Official Advisory

The CET Cell has advised candidates not to delay registration due to Aadhaar-related issues, assuring that identity verification mechanisms have been put in place to ensure a smooth and inclusive application process.

    Why This Matters

This move ensures that no student is disadvantaged due to technical or documentation challenges and reflects the authority’s commitment to maintaining fair access to higher education admissions in Maharashtra.
