JEE Main 2026 – 2027 Session 1 Registration Begins: Apply from October 31 to November 27, 2025

    The National Testing Agency (NTA) has officially released the notification inviting online applications for the Joint Entrance Examination (Main) 2026 – Session 1 (January 2026). Candidates seeking admission to undergraduate engineering and architecture programs across NITs, IIITs, and other Centrally Funded Technical Institutions (CFTIs) can now apply online at jeemain.nta.nic.in or nta.ac.in between October 31 and November 27, 2025 (up to 9 PM).

    Exam Pattern

    JEE (Main) 2026 will have two papers:

    • Paper 1 (B.E./B.Tech) – For admission to Engineering programs

      • Mode: Computer-Based Test (CBT)

      • Sections: Physics, Chemistry, Mathematics (Each with 20 MCQs + 5 numerical questions)

      • Timing: 9:00 AM – 12:00 Noon or 3:00 PM – 6:00 PM

    • Paper 2A (B.Arch) – For admission to Architecture programs

      • Mathematics and Aptitude (CBT mode), Drawing Test (offline on A4 sheet)

      • Timing: 9:00 AM – 12:00 Noon

    • Paper 2B (B.Planning) – For admission to Planning programs

      • Mode: Computer-Based Test (CBT)

      • Timing: 9:00 AM – 12:00 Noon


    Languages

    The exam will be conducted in 13 languages: English, Hindi, Assamese, Bengali, Gujarati, Kannada, Malayalam, Marathi, Odia, Punjabi, Tamil, Telugu, and Urdu.


    Important Instructions

    • Candidates must apply only through the online mode at jeemain.nta.nic.in.

    • Only one application is allowed per candidate; multiple applications will lead to disqualification.

    • Candidates should ensure that the email ID and mobile number provided are their own or that of their parents/guardians for all official communication.

    Additional Sessions

    The JEE (Main) 2026 will be conducted in two sessions:

    • Session 1: January 2026

    • Session 2: April 2026
      Candidates applying for Session 1 can later choose to appear in Session 2 by paying the additional fee.
