The Indian Institute of Technology (IIT) Roorkee has officially released the question papers for both Paper 1 and Paper 2 of the JEE Advanced 2026 examination. Candidates who appeared for the prestigious engineering entrance exam can now access the papers for analysis and score estimation.

JEE Advanced 2026 was conducted on May 17 in two shifts across examination centres nationwide. The examination is the gateway for admission into the Indian Institutes of Technology (IITs) and several other premier engineering institutions of the country.

As per the official schedule, candidate response sheets will be released on May 21, while the provisional answer key for both papers will be published on May 25. Students will also get an opportunity to raise objections against the provisional answer key within the stipulated time before the final key and results are announced.

Initial reactions from students and subject experts suggest that the overall difficulty level of the examination ranged from moderate to difficult. Mathematics was reportedly lengthy and challenging, while Physics was considered manageable in Paper 1 but tougher in Paper 2. Chemistry was largely rated moderate by most aspirants.

Several coaching institutes have already started releasing unofficial answer keys and memory-based solutions to help candidates estimate their probable scores ahead of the official answer key release.

The JEE Advanced 2026 results are expected to be declared on June 1. Qualified candidates will subsequently participate in the JoSAA counselling process for admission to IITs, NITs, IIITs, and other participating institutes.

Students are advised to regularly check the official JEE Advanced portal for updates regarding response sheets, answer keys, objection windows, results, and counselling schedules.
