CBSE Board Exam 2026 Scheduled on March 3 Postponed for Class 10 & 12; Revised Date Sheet Released

New Delhi: The Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) has officially postponed the board examinations that were earlier scheduled to be held on March 3, 2026 for Class 10 and Class 12 students. Along with the postponement announcement, the Board has also released a revised date sheet, bringing relief and clarity to students, parents, and schools.
The decision impacts select subjects only, while the remaining examination schedule remains unchanged.
Revised Exam Dates
As per the official notification issued by CBSE:
Class 10 examinations scheduled for March 3 will now be conducted on March 11, 2026.
Class 12 Legal Studies paper, earlier set for March 3, has been postponed to April 10, 2026.
All other Class 10 and 12 board exams will be held according to the original timetable.

For Class 10, the postponed exams include several language and minor subjects such as:
Tibetan
German
NCC
Bhoti
Bodo
Tangkhul
Japanese
Bhutia
Spanish
Kashmiri
Mizo
Bahasa Melayu
Elements of Book Keeping & Accountancy
For Class 12, the only subject affected is:
Legal Studies
