The Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) has officially declared the Class 12 board examination results for 2026. More than 18 lakh students who appeared for the examinations can now access their scorecards and digital marksheets through various online and mobile platforms.

Students can check their results using their roll number, school number, admit card ID, and date of birth. The board has made the results available through official result portals, DigiLocker, UMANG application, SMS services, and IVRS facilities to ensure smooth access for candidates across the country.

According to officials, the digital marksheet available online is provisional in nature, while original marksheets and certificates will later be distributed through schools. Students are advised to carefully verify all details mentioned in the scorecard, including name, subject-wise marks, grades, and personal information.

This year, CBSE recorded a strong overall pass percentage, continuing the positive academic trend seen in recent years. Girls once again outperformed boys in the overall results, while several regions reported pass percentages above the national average. Detailed statistics regarding toppers, regional performance, and school-wise results are expected to be released separately by the board.

To pass the CBSE Class 12 board examinations, students are required to secure at least 33 percent marks separately in both theory and practical examinations. Candidates who fail in one subject may apply for compartment examinations, while students dissatisfied with their scores can opt for verification of marks, photocopy of answer sheets, and re-evaluation procedures.

CBSE has also continued its revised post-result process this year. Students will first be allowed to obtain photocopies of their evaluated answer sheets before applying for verification or re-evaluation, aiming to improve transparency in the evaluation system.

The Class 12 board examinations for 2026 were conducted between February and April across thousands of examination centres in India and abroad. Lakhs of students from Science, Commerce, and Humanities streams appeared for the exams.

Students are advised to avoid relying on unofficial websites or social media rumours and use only verified platforms for checking their results and downloading academic documents.
