CBSE Class 12 Result 2026 Expected Soon; Students Await Official Announcement

The Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) is expected to announce the Class 12 board examination results for 2026 shortly, creating anticipation among more than 18 lakh students across the country. Reports suggest that the results may be declared today, although the board has not officially confirmed the exact time of release.
Students will be able to access their marksheets and scorecards through the official CBSE result portals as well as digital platforms including DigiLocker and the UMANG application. Recent updates and notifications on DigiLocker and UMANG have further increased expectations that the result declaration is imminent.
To check the CBSE Class 12 Result 2026, students will need their roll number, school number, admit card ID, and date of birth. Once the result is declared, candidates can log in using these credentials to download their provisional digital marksheets.
Apart from official websites, students can also access their results through DigiLocker, UMANG, SMS services, and IVRS facilities. CBSE has integrated digital academic records with DigiLocker, allowing students to download marksheets, migration certificates, and pass certificates online.
As per CBSE guidelines, students must secure at least 33 percent marks separately in theory and practical examinations to pass the board exams. Candidates who fail in one subject may be eligible to appear for compartment examinations, while students seeking improvement in marks can apply for supplementary exams and re-evaluation processes after the results are announced.
The board has also introduced changes in post-result procedures this year. Students will now be allowed to obtain photocopies of evaluated answer sheets before applying for verification or re-evaluation, making the review process more transparent.
Last year, the overall CBSE Class 12 pass percentage stood at 88.39 percent, showing a slight improvement compared to previous years. Education experts expect the pass percentage for 2026 to remain stable, though official figures will only be released after the result announcement.
CBSE conducted the Class 12 board examinations from February 17 to April 10, 2026, in a single shift across India and abroad. Students are advised to keep their admit cards and login credentials ready to avoid delays while checking their results online once the board activates the scorecard links.
