NEET UG 2026 May 3 Exam Cancelled Amid Paper Leak Allegations; Revised Dates Soon

The National Testing Agency (NTA) has officially cancelled the NEET UG 2026 examination conducted on May 3 following serious allegations of a question paper leak and examination malpractice. The decision has created uncertainty among more than 22 lakh medical aspirants across the country.
According to investigation reports, Rajasthan Police’s Special Operations Group (SOG) found that a suspected “guess paper” circulating before the examination allegedly matched more than 100 questions from the actual NEET UG 2026 paper. Authorities are now investigating whether a larger organised network was involved in leaking the paper before the exam.
The matter has reportedly been handed over to the Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) for a detailed inquiry. Several suspects linked to counselling services and coaching-related networks are being questioned as investigators trace digital evidence, financial transactions, and messaging groups connected to the alleged leak.
NTA stated that the cancellation was necessary to maintain the fairness and integrity of India’s largest medical entrance examination. The agency has assured students that revised examination dates, fresh admit cards, and updated schedules will be announced soon through official notifications.
The controversy has triggered strong reactions from students, parents, and political leaders across the country. Many have questioned the security arrangements of national-level examinations and demanded strict action against those responsible for compromising students’ futures.
Students are advised to regularly check official announcements for:
- Revised NEET UG 2026 exam date
