IIT Mandi Opens Applications for IMBA 2026; Admissions Through JEE Main, 20% Seats Reserved for Women

The Indian Institute of Technology (IIT) Mandi has commenced the application process for its five-year Integrated Master of Business Administration (IMBA) programme for the academic session 2026. Admissions to the programme will be based on candidates’ JEE Main 2026 scores, while the institute has also announced 20% supernumerary reservation for women candidates.
The IMBA programme is aimed at integrating business education with technology, analytics, and artificial intelligence. Students enrolled in the programme will receive dual degrees — BBA Analytics (Honours) and MBA in Data Science & Artificial Intelligence — upon successful completion of the course.
As per the eligibility criteria, applicants must have passed Class 12 or an equivalent examination with at least 75% marks. Candidates belonging to SC, ST, and PwD categories require a minimum of 65% marks. Mathematics and English are compulsory subjects at the senior secondary level. Additionally, students must appear for JEE Main 2026 Paper 1 and secure marks equal to or above the JEE Advanced eligibility cutoff for their respective category.
The admission process will take place in multiple stages. Initially, candidates will be shortlisted based on their JEE Main scores. Shortlisted applicants will then be invited for a Personal Interview (PI). The final merit list will be prepared with 70% weightage given to the JEE Main score and 30% weightage to interview performance.
IIT Mandi has stated that the application process is currently open and interested candidates can submit their applications online till May 15, 2026. The institute is expected to release the shortlist of candidates later in May, followed by personal interviews in June.
The institute currently offers around 80 seats in the programme, including the supernumerary seats reserved for women candidates. Reservation policies of the Government of India will also be applicable during admissions.
