JEE Main 2026: NTA Reopens Session 2 Registration; Apply by March 13

The National Testing Agency (NTA) has reopened the registration window for JEE Main 2026 Session 2, offering another opportunity for candidates who missed the earlier deadline to apply for the engineering entrance examination. Eligible candidates can complete their applications through the official website jeemain.nta.nic.in until March 13, 2026.
The Joint Entrance Examination (JEE) Main 2026 Session 2 is scheduled to be conducted in April 2026 in computer-based mode across multiple exam centres in India and abroad.
Second Chance for Aspirants
The reopening of the registration window provides relief to thousands of engineering aspirants who were unable to complete the application process earlier. Candidates who wish to appear for Session 2 only, or those who already appeared in Session 1 and want to improve their score, can apply during this extended period.
NTA conducts JEE Main in two sessions each year to provide students with more opportunities to perform better and reduce exam pressure.
Courses Offered Through JEE Main
JEE Main is the gateway for admission to several undergraduate engineering and architecture programmes across India, including:
B.E./B.Tech programmes in National Institutes of Technology (NITs), IIITs and other centrally funded technical institutions
B.Arch (Architecture) courses
B.Planning programmes
The exam is also the qualifying test for JEE Advanced, which is required for admission to the Indian Institutes of Technology (IITs).
JEE Main 2026 Exam Pattern
The examination will be conducted in computer-based test (CBT) mode for most papers. However, the B.Arch drawing test is usually conducted in pen-and-paper mode.
The question paper will consist of multiple-choice questions (MCQs) and numerical value-based questions from subjects including:
Physics
Chemistry
Mathematics
