The National Testing Agency (NTA) has officially declared the JEE Main 2026 Paper 2 results for BArch (Paper 2A) and BPlanning (Paper 2B). Candidates who appeared for the examination can now check and download their scorecards from the official JEE Main website using their application number and date of birth.

The announcement marks a crucial milestone for students aspiring to pursue undergraduate programmes in Architecture and Planning at premier institutions across the country.

Kerala Students Dominate the Toppers’ List

Students from Kerala have delivered an outstanding performance by securing All India Rank (AIR) 1 in both Paper 2 categories:

• Suryathejus S has emerged as the national topper in BArch (Paper 2A) by scoring a perfect 100 percentile.

• Gowri Sankar V secured AIR 1 in BPlanning (Paper 2B) with a 100 percentile score.

Their remarkable achievement highlights Kerala’s strong academic presence in national-level competitive examinations.

Exam Conduct and Attendance Details

The JEE Main 2026 Paper 2 examination was conducted in January 2026 across hundreds of centres in India and select international locations.

• BArch (Paper 2A):

  • Registered candidates: Over 64,000

  • Appeared candidates: Around 45,000

  • Attendance percentage: Approximately 70%

• BPlanning (Paper 2B):

  • Registered candidates: Over 32,000

  • Appeared candidates: About 21,000

  • Attendance percentage: Nearly 65%

Following the evaluation process, the NTA also dropped three questions from the final answer key, awarding full marks to all candidates who attempted those questions, as per norms.

Other Notable Performances

Apart from the AIR 1 holders, several candidates recorded exceptionally high scores, with multiple students scoring above 99.9 percentile, underscoring the intense competition and high performance standards of the exam.

Female candidates also performed strongly, with top scores recorded in both BArch and BPlanning categories.

What Lies Ahead for Candidates

Qualified candidates can now begin preparations for the admission and counselling process for architecture and planning programmes offered by NITs, Schools of Planning and Architecture (SPAs), and other centrally funded technical institutions.

Meanwhile, aspirants looking to improve their performance will have another opportunity through the upcoming JEE Main 2026 Session 2 examination.
