JEE Main 2026 Final Answer Key Released; NTA Drops 9 BE/BTech Questions, Result on February 16

The National Testing Agency (National Testing Agency) has released the final answer key for JEE Main 2026 Session 1 on its official website jeemain.nta.nic.in. Along with the final answer key, NTA has announced that 9 questions from the BE/BTech paper have been dropped after a detailed review process.
Why were 9 questions dropped?
According to NTA,
Certain questions contained technical or factual errors
Some questions had more than one possible correct answer
After evaluation by subject experts, these questions were excluded from the final assessment
Marks Policy for Dropped Questions
Full marks will be awarded to all candidates, regardless of whether they attempted or did not attempt the dropped questions
This decision may lead to an increase in overall scores and percentile rankings
JEE Main 2026 Result Date
NTA has confirmed that the JEE Main 2026 Session 1 result will be declared on February 16, 2026. The result will include:
Individual scorecards
All India Rank (AIR)
Category-wise cut-off marks
What happens after the final answer key?
No further challenges or objections will be accepted
Results will be prepared strictly based on the final answer key
The declaration of results will be followed by JEE Advanced 2026 eligibility announcements and counselling processes for engineering admissions
