The placement season at IIT BHU has begun with a historic and electrifying start, marking one of the most successful opening days the institute has ever witnessed. At the stroke of midnight on December 1st, 2025, the campus placement drive officially began—and within hours, records were shattered.

A student bagged a mind-blowing ₹1.67 crore package, the highest ever offered on Day 1 in IIT BHU’s placement history. Excitement swept across the campus as prestigious recruiters lined up through the night to onboard top talent.

Official Announcement: 330+ Companies, 1701 Students, 280 PPOs

According to IIT BHU’s official statement:

“We are excited to announce the commencement of the campus placement drive 2025–26 at IIT (BHU), Varanasi, at the stroke of midnight on December 1st, 2025.”

This year’s placement journey begins with overwhelming industry participation—

• 330+ national and international companies registered for interviews

• 1701 students participating across BTech, IDD, MTech, and PhD programmes

• 280 Pre-Placement Offers (PPOs) already made before Day 1

This marks one of IIT BHU’s strongest placement kick-offs ever.

A Thunderous Start: 209 Offers in First Slot, 17 Crorepati Packages

In the very first slot alone, 55 companies rolled out 209 job offers.
Among them was the headline-making ₹1.67 crore package.

Within just 24 hours:

• 17 students were offered packages above ₹1 crore

• The minimum package touched an impressive ₹47.19 lakh

This clearly shows that top recruiters are aggressively pursuing IIT BHU’s talent pool.

125 Companies Already Hired 489 Students

The season has already seen:

• 125+ top companies visiting campus

• 489 students placed across programs
