JEE Main 2026 Registration: NTA to Close Session 1 Application Window Today; Correction Starts December 1

    New Delhi, 27 November 2025:
    The National Testing Agency (NTA) will close the online registration window for JEE Main 2026 Session 1 today. Candidates who have not yet applied must complete their application forms and submit the exam fee before the end of the day, as no extension is expected.

    JEE Main is India’s largest engineering entrance exam for admission to IITs, NITs, IIITs, and other government and private technical institutes. Session 1 of JEE Main 2026 will be held in January 2026.

    📌 What Candidates Need to Do Today

    • Submit the online application form before the 9 PM deadline.

    • Upload all required documents in the correct formats.

    • Ensure the application fee is paid successfully before the cut-off time.

    • Save or print the confirmation page for future reference.

    NTA has advised students not to wait till the last hour due to potential website traffic and technical delays.


    🔄 Correction Window from December 1

    For those who already submitted the form, NTA will open a two-day correction window from 1 to 2 December 2025.
    During this period, candidates will be allowed to:

    • Modify personal details

    • Change exam city preferences

    • Update category

    • Correct academic information

    • Replace uploaded photographs or documents

    Some fields like email ID, mobile number, or Aadhaar-linked details may be non-editable.


    📝 Exam Structure

    JEE Main 2026 will be conducted in two papers:

    • Paper 1 — B.E./B.Tech
      (Physics, Chemistry, Mathematics – Computer-based test)

    • Paper 2A — B.Arch
      (Mathematics, Aptitude Test – CBT; Drawing Test – offline)

    • Paper 2B — B.Planning
      (Mathematics, Aptitude Test, Planning-based questions – CBT)


    📍 What Happens Next?

    After the correction window closes, NTA will release:

    • City intimation slip (exam centre & shift details)

    • Admit card (a few days before the exam)

    Students are advised to start revising mock tests, previous-year papers, and subject-wise practice modules.
