The Indian Olympiad Qualifier in Mathematics (IOQM) serves as the first stage of the Mathematical Olympiad Programme in India, a gateway for students aspiring to represent the country at the International Mathematical Olympiad (IMO).
The IOQM is jointly organized by the Mathematics Teachers’ Association (India) and the Homi Bhabha Centre for Science Education (HBCSE) under the aegis of the National Board for Higher Mathematics (NBHM). The competition is designed to test deep mathematical reasoning, logical aptitude, and creativity — skills that go far beyond standard classroom learning.
