ICAI Announces CA September 2025 Results: 16.23% Pass Final Exam, 10.06% Clear Intermediate

The Institute of Chartered Accountants of India (ICAI) has officially declared the results for the CA September 2025 examinations today. The results for both the Final and Intermediate levels are now available on ICAI’s official websites — icai.nic.in and icai.org.
According to the data released by ICAI, the overall pass percentage for the CA Final (September 2025) examination stands at 16.23%, while only 10.06% of candidates cleared the CA Intermediate exam, highlighting the exam’s continued rigor and competitive nature.

Group I Pass Percentage: 19.47%
Group II Pass Percentage: 14.62%
Both Groups Pass Percentage: 16.23%
Number of Candidates Appeared: 74,315
Number of Candidates Passed: 12,065
The final examination once again proved to be one of India’s toughest professional tests, with less than one in five candidates clearing both groups.

Group I Pass Percentage: 11.29%
Group II Pass Percentage: 9.67%
Both Groups Pass Percentage: 10.06%
Number of Candidates Appeared: 1,28,456
Number of Candidates Passed: 12,927
The intermediate level, which serves as the gateway to the final course, also saw a low success rate, underlining the exam’s demanding standards.

ICAI also released the list of top three all-India rank holders:

ICAI congratulated all successful candidates and encouraged those who couldn’t clear this attempt to “continue their pursuit with renewed focus and perseverance.”
🔹 Statement from ICAI President
ICAI President CA. Ranjeet Kumar Agarwal said:
“The performance of candidates reflects both the high standards maintained by the Institute and the growing commitment of students towards the accounting profession. The new syllabus introduced this year has aligned the curriculum with global accounting practices, enhancing the employability and international recognition of Indian CAs.”
He also mentioned that the next CA examination cycle will be conducted in January 2026, and the online registration process will begin later this month.
🔹 Accessing the Result
Candidates can check their results by visiting the official website and entering their roll number and registration number. In addition, students who had registered their email IDs with ICAI received their results directly via email.

🔹 Post-Result Support and Revaluation
ICAI has also opened the online window for verification of marks and inspection of answer books, available on its website. The facility will remain open for one month from the date of result declaration.
