AIIMS Jammu, located in Vijaypur (Samba District), Jammu & Kashmir, is a centrally-funded Institute of National Importance under the Ministry of Health & Family Welfare. Established as part of the expansion of the AIIMS network, the institute is designed to provide high-quality medical education, advanced healthcare and research in the region. Its aim is to offer undergraduate, postgraduate and allied health courses, supported by a teaching hospital and modern infrastructure.

All India Institute of Medical Sciences, Vijaypur, Jammu, popularly known as AIIMS Jammu, is a Central Autonomous Institute under the PMSSY scheme of the Ministry of Health and Family Welfare, Government of India, established in 2020. AIIMS Jammu is approved by the National Medical Commission (NMC). It has also received a medical ranking by Collegedunia.com, placing it 98th out of 522 colleges in India in 2025, and an IIRF ranking, which ranks it 49th out of 70 colleges in India in 2025.

AIIMS Jammu offers MBBS. The admissions are based on NEET UG score, followed by Medical Counselling Committee (MCC), and candidates must have passed 10+2 with English, Physics, Chemistry, and Biology as main subjects. The General and OBC candidates need to have 60%, for SC/ST candidates 50% is required & for PwBD candidates 45% is necessary. The MBBS has a total intake of 100 seats, and its admission fee is INR 5,573.
