OVERVIEW

MNLU Mumbai was established in 2014, in the State of Maharashtra, for the development and advancement of legal education and for the purposes of imparting specialized and systematic instruction, training and research in systems of law and for the matters connected therewith or incidental thereto. MNLU Mumbai offers a forum for the community of scholars both within and outside India to take a broad inter-disciplinary approach to the study of law, thereby reaching a wide readership, including legal academics, social scientists, jurist, students and others.

National Law University Mumbai also known as MNLU Mumbai was established in 2014. The university is approved by BCI (Bar Council of India) and recognized by UGC. It is accredited by NAAC with an A+ Grade In 2025, IIRF ranked it 23 in the Law category, while NIRF 2024 ranked it 31 in the same category.

MNLU Mumbai offers Undergraduate, Postgraduate and PhD programs which lead to one primary degree: BA LLB. For admission to the BA LLB program 10+2 or equivalent examination with 45% marks (40% for reserved category) and also need to appear for CLAT Examination. In 2025, the CLAT UG overall cutoff for the general category is 536. The total fee for the BA LLB program is INR 10.21 Lakhs.

MNLU Mumbai Placement report for 2025 has not yet been released. In 2024, the median package offered to UG students was INR 10 LPA Out of 107 Students, 35 were placed.
